Poole Angling

Experienced and novice anglers are welcome and free tuition can be given where necessary. Children from about 7 yrs of age are allowed if accompanied by an adult.

Full day and 3hour charter trips are available.
Full day trips usually depart at 08:15hrs and return at 16:00hrs, although the start time can be varied by mutual agreement.
The 3hour trips usually depart at either 09:30hrs, or at 13:15hrs..

Fishing is mainly over general marks, banks or reefs up to twenty miles offshore, subject to prevailing weather conditions on the day.

Rods, tackle and bait can be supplied by prior arrangement with the skipper.

Coffee, tea,soup or drinking chocolate can be provided free of charge, if requested.

The departure point for all trips is the steps by the white hut at Fisherman's Dock, at the eastern end of Poole quay, opposite the 'Thistle Hotel'.

A variety of fish can be caught by anglers going afloat from Poole including:
Black Bream, Bass, Cod, Conger, Dogfish, Flounder, Garfish, Gurnard, Huss, Mackerel, Mullet, Plaice, Pout, Rays, Smoothhound, Tope, Whiting and Wrasse

All day parking is available at the 'Thistle Hotel', the multi-storey car park in Old Orchard or the Quayside car park, next to Piplers near Poole Bridge.
